What we Audit

Page load times, server response, database efficiency, caching setup, frontend weight – we dig into all of it. Target: sub-2-second load times, 90+ Lighthouse scores, and an infrastructure that holds up when traffic spikes.

  • Page speed and Core Web Vitals analysis
  • Server, database, and caching configuration review
  • Frontend asset optimization (JS, CSS, images)

A deep look at your store’s codebase, architecture, and infrastructure. Upgrade blockers, extension conflicts, deprecated code, scalability risks – we find them before they find you at 2am.

  • Code quality and architecture review
  • Extension compatibility and conflict analysis
  • Upgrade readiness and technical debt mapping

Crawl errors, indexation gaps, metadata issues, broken internal linking – the problems that quietly drain organic visibility don’t always show up in your dashboard. We surface them and rank them by impact.

  • Crawlability, indexation, and sitemap review
  • On-page SEO: metadata, headings, structured data
  • Site architecture and internal linking analysis

We go through your store’s attack surface – server configuration, access controls, payment flow security, PCI compliance. Most breaches don’t announce themselves until it’s too late to contain them.

  • Server, firewall, and access control review
  • Payment flow and PCI compliance assessment
  • Vulnerability scanning and patch gap analysis

We map the customer journey from landing page to checkout while evaluating the visual credibility holding it together. Behavioral data meets competitor benchmarking to show exactly where you’re losing people and why.

  • Heatmap and session replay analysis
  • Checkout funnel and conversion path review
  • Mobile usability and responsive design testing

We evaluate your storefront against WCAG standards, identifying barriers that exclude customers and create legal risk. Fixes are prioritized by revenue impact, not just compliance score.

  • WCAG 2.1 compliance review across key pages and flows
  • Screen reader, keyboard navigation, and contrast testing
  • Remediation roadmap ranked by traffic and conversion impact

0.1-second improvement in mobile site speed increases retail conversions by 8.4% and adds 9.1% more shoppers to the cart

Frequently Asked Questions

Not Sure What’s Holding Your Store Back?

What does an eCommerce audit include?

It depends on the scope. A Performance Audit focuses on speed, server configuration, and frontend weight. A Technical Audit reviews code quality, architecture, and extension health. An SEO Audit covers crawlability, indexation, metadata, and site structure. A Security Audit evaluates vulnerability exposure and PCI compliance. A UX/UI Audit maps the customer journey and identifies conversion friction. You can run any of these individually or combine them into a comprehensive site audit.

How long does an audit take?

A single-focus audit (e.g., Performance or SEO) typically takes 1–2 weeks. A full-stack audit covering performance, technical, SEO, security, and UX runs 3–4 weeks depending on store complexity. You’ll receive a prioritized report with findings ranked by business impact.

Do you only audit Magento stores?

No. We audit and optimize across all five platforms we support: Adobe Commerce, Magento Open Source, Shopify Plus, Shopware, and BigCommerce. Our Magento auditing runs deepest – we’re the #1 contributor to the Magento codebase – but our team is certified and experienced across all platforms.

Can you also implement the fixes?

Yes. Most clients prefer to pair the audit with implementation support. The same engineering team that identifies issues can fix them – which eliminates handoff delays and the risk of miscommunication between audit and execution.

How much does an eCommerce audit cost?

Pricing depends on the scope (single audit vs. comprehensive), the platform, and the size/complexity of the store. We scope every engagement individually and provide a transparent quote after an initial consultation. The consultation itself is free.
